This website is my serious attempt to interpret and apply the Word of God to your life and mine. As one endeavoring to stand between the text and the person who reads my blogs, I humbly admit that my insights are limited. Like the interpreter of the Hebrew text who stood between the reader of the Torah and the members of the audience in synagouges, this is my attempt to convey the immediacy of God’s word. They did so through translation. I am doing so through blogging. Jesus visited the synagogue in Nazareth and stood to read from the scroll. After he finished reading, he handed the scroll to the attendant, sat down, and then proclaimed the meaning of the text he had read (cf. Luke 4:16-21). This is my attempt to sit down and to proclaim what I understand the word to say to our generation. I encourage you to be like the ”noble” Bereans who “searched the scriptures daily” to determine whether what I write or teach is true (Acts 17:10-11). The title of my blogsite is meant to convey reverence for the word of God and to emphasize my limitations as an interpreter of the word.
